Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates 59th DGP-IGP conference in Bhubaneswar Highlighting strengthening of Police force under PM Modi’s leadership

Srinagar, Nov 29 (KINS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during the inauguration of the 59th DGP/IGP Conference-2024 in Bhubaneswar, praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that under his guidance, India is strengthening its police force to tackle modern-day security challenges.
News agency KINS reported that Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the police force is being developed as a robust system capable of not only securing the nation against emerging threats but also addressing the root causes of crime and terrorism.
The DGP/IGP Conference serves as an essential platform for knowledge sharing among police chiefs from across the country, aiming to improve policing through collaboration and best practices.
Shah underlined the importance of this conference in enhancing coordination between different states to tackle law and order issues effectively.
During the event, Shah also honored outstanding police personnel by distributing police medals for meritorious service and awarded trophies to the three best-performing police stations in the country.
In a post on social media handle X, Home Minister said, “Under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, Bharat is building its police force as an apparatus capable of both securing the nation against new-age challenges and addressing the root causes of crime and terrorism. The DGP/IGP Conference serves as a knowledge-sharing platform to fortify policing in every state through collaboration.Today, inaugurated the 59th DGP/IGP Conference-2024 in Bhubaneshwar. Also distributed police medals for meritorious service and awarded trophies to the three best police stations in the country”.(KINS)
