Two boys drown while bathing in Ganderbal, rescue operation underway

Srinagar, July 05(KINS): Two boys drowned while bathing in Nallah Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.


Reports reaching news ageny Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) said two boys drowned in nallah Sindh at Kichpora Kangan while bathing.
Locals present there raised an alarm, following which a team of police reached there and carried out a rescue operation to retrieve the bodies of the duo.


A police officer told KINS that two boys, Zahid Farooq Rather and Rashid Khan, both residents of Palpora Noorbagh Srinagar, drowned in nallah Sindh near Kijpora Kangan. He said a rescue operation was launched by locals, SDRF, and police to retrieved their bodies, and efforts are on to trace the duo. (KINS)
