Srinagar: As the temperature plummeted in Kashmir as continuous downpour lashed plains and upper reaches weatherman on Friday predicted widespread rains and snowfall across the valley.

“The rains will continue to lash the plain while snow will fall in higher reaches,” spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said, adding that the weather will improve gradually from Saturday.
