Altaf Bukhari condoles demise of Abdul Rashid Dar

SRINAGAR, January 9: Former finance minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday condoled demise of Abdul Rashid Dar of Rawalpora who passed away at his residence this morning.

In his condolence message issued here, Bukhari who is outside the country has described late Dar as a thorough gentleman who all along his life was known for his noble deeds.

“It is a personal loss for me as the bereaved family has a long association with my family. I pray to Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give courage to the bereaved family, friends and acquaintances of the deceased to bear this irreparable loss,” Bukhari said in his condolence message.

               The former minister has extended solidarity with Nazir Ahmad Dar brother of the deceased who is presently on Umrah pilgrimage. “I also want convey my heartfelt condolences and extend solidarity with Manzoor Ahmad Dar, the younger brother of the deceased, at this time of grief,” Bukhari added further.

               On the directions of Bukhari a delegation of his workers led by Mohammad Ashraf Dar, Zone president Amirakadal visited the bereaved family to convey condolences from Bukhari and to extend solidarity with it.

“I on behalf of the entire Amirakadal zone want to convey my condolences on the demise of Abdul Rashid Dar who was known for his philanthropic activities in Rawalpora and its adjoining areas. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal peace,” Mohammad Ashraf Dar, said at the residence of the deceased.
