Srinagar 15 February: Expressing anger and anguish over hooliganism by miscreants of various right wing organizations at various places in Jammu city, AIP President Er. Rasheed has urged law enforcing agencies and civil administration to ensure protection to all sections of people without being biased. In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “Nobody is celebrating killing of CRPF men in Pulwama attack and no one other than Kashmiris can feel the pain of bereaved families better than them, as we have been passing through this turmoil since last thirty years, however nothing lies in hands of Kashmiris and neither their words nor condemnations mean anything to those who matter and who can bring peace in the entire region including Jammu & Kashmir. Giving the incident a communal colour and using it as an excuse to create communal tension in Jammu city is condemnable and unacceptable. How can dozens of vehicles be damaged and set to fire in presence of law enforcing agencies at various places in Jammu city and why is not Jammu administration doing enough to ensure that law and order is maintained in the entire city”. Er. Rasheed while appealing from restrain from all sides added that there is no justification to attack vehicles and other properties of a particular community or to attack stranded Kashmiris for none of their fault. Er. Rasheed appealed all stake holders to show restraint and realize that violence is not any solution and let all of us understand that wars are not won and animosity will help none. He said that Kashmiris are the worst sufferers of animosity between India and Pakistan and they have always been seeking a peaceful resolution to the political dispute. Er. Rasheed appealed BJP leadership to show maturity and rise above regional and religious politics and reminded BJP leadership in Jammu not to forget that they are ruling at the Centre and their every action in Jammu has to be mature rather adding fuel to the fire.
Kashmiris or any other civilized society does not celebrate deaths Er. Rasheed
