Sajad Lone speaks with authorities in HP, Uttarakhand to ensure safety, security of Kashmiris

Srinagar, Feb 16 : Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone spoke to civilian and police authorities today, who have assured him of safety and security of Kashmiris living, studying and working outside the state.
A PC spokesperson said in a statement said that Sajad Gani Lone spoke to Chief Minister’s offices and police authorities in Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand and requested them to make concerted and coordinated effort to ensure safety and security of Kashmiri families, students, professionals and businessmen living there.
He also appealed to political leadership and authorities across the country to make an appeal for calm so as to maintain communal harmony in Jammu and other parts of the country.
Condemning selective targeting and harassment of Kashmiris, Sajad Gani Lone said that “targetted violence at Kashmiris will be counter productive to the cause and tenets of tolerance and should be condemned by one and all in the strongest of terms.”
Sajad also said that Peoples Conference leadership is reaching out and coordinating with Kashmiri students, professionals and families across the country to ensure their safety and facilitate the return of students to Kashmir. (KNS)
