Dr. G.N Ittoo assumes charge as DC Baramulla

Baramulla, 23 February: Dr G N Ittoo today assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner Baramulla taking over from Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash.

You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

Handing over the charge to him, Dr Naqash said that Dr G N Itoo is one of the most professional and committed officer with utmost integrity and expressed his gratitude to the gathering of officers and officials for extending their support during his tenure.

Dr Ittoo, while speaking on the occasion said that he is honored to take over as the DC of the historic district Baramulla.

Meanwhile, he inspected various sections of DC office and interacted with the officials there. He exhorted upon them to work with complete dedication and commitment and assured them of his complete support for better administration and development of the district.

Later, Dr. Ittoo while chairing a meeting with the officers of essential services stressed to ramp up the pace of work so that the work is completed within stipulated timeframe. He also interacted with the district and sectoral officers one on one wherein he stressed for working with added zeal and enthusiasm for the socio-economic development of district. He also directed Exn.R&B Bla to restore all the important roads in a time bound manner.
