India,Pakistan exchange heavy fire in Uri sector

Uri, Feb 27 : India and Pakistan exchanged heavy artillery fire in Uri sector of Baramulla district since Wednesday morning.

Reports said after India’s Air strike, Pakistan army on early Wednesday fired heavy illuminating mortar shells along LoC in Kamalkot area of Uri. However, no loss of life or injury to any person was reported immediately in the incident.

An army official also confirmed and said that Pakistan army targeted Indian posts at Kamakote area by firing with automatic weapons and shelling, officer added that the Indian army retaliated, leading to an exchange of fire and is continued.

Meanwhile SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoum said that Few shells landed in Kamalkote Nallah near Kaalgi no loss of life is reported however people are being shifted to safer locations.
