March 02: Srinagar Police met hotel and guest house owners under its public outreach at Police Station Raj Bagh in which members of civil society also participated.
Various issues were discussed like drug menace, theft/burglary in the area, traffic jams, illegal encroachment of footpath due to hotels, cleaning/anti-encroachment drive, installation of CCTV Cameras in specific hotels and by lanes of the area, customer identification and information sharing and proper hygiene and waste disposal mechanism by hotels and guest houses.
SDPO Sadder while deliberating with the participants sought the attention of hoteliers in curbing the possible crimes in the hotels.
The participants were assured by the police that all the concerned departments will be apprised through proper channels to redress the grievances of the hoteliers and local residents of the area.
SDPO Sadder along with SHO Rajbagh assured the participants of all possible help. The participants promised to support police in curing social crimes from the area.
The meeting concluded on a positive note.
