Gun salutes for slain Sopore militant

Sopore, March 04 : Militants offered gun salute to slain Ishfaq Majeed at his native village Brath Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening.
Sources said that masked militants, two to three in number, appeared in Brath village of Sopore and fired several rounds in the air to pay tributes to slain LeT militant, who was killed along with foreign militant in a 56 hour long gunfight at Babagund village of Handwara.

Local reports said the militants fired several shots in the air and escaped from the spot.

Pertainally on Monday braving incessant rains thousands of people including women attended the funeral prayers of slain Lashkar-e-Toiba militant in Brath village.An eyewitness said that thousands of people braving rains assembled in Brath village of Sopore to take part in the last rites of slian.
Amid sloganeering, Slain was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.
