Tral Encounter: Two militant killed, search operation on

Srinagar, March 05:Two militants were killed after contact was reestablished between goverment forces and militants in Mir Mohalla in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday morning.

Official sources told news agency  that that two Local militants were killed in Mir Mohalla after forces blasted house and razed it to the ground.

If sources are to believed both the slain militants are local and were affiliated with Hizb.

A senior Police officer also confirmed killing of two militants and said that search operation still on. So far we have recovered two bodies of militants along with two AK47.

Earlier a senior Police officer told news agency that yesterday after initial brief exchange of firing there was long lull, but we had tightened the cordon and sealed all the exit routes of the area.

The officer further said that due to darkness the operation was suspended and as soon the first ray of light came the forces again started searches near suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering again an encounter, the officer said.(GNS)
