18 civilians injured in Jammu grenade blast: Police

Jammu March 7 : Eighteen civilians were injured in a grenade blast at bus stand Jammu on Thursday afternoon.

Inspector General of Police Jammu Division M K Sinha said that some suspected persons lobbed a grenade on bus stand Jammu.

In the explosion, 18 civilians reported so far sustained splinter injuries and were evacuated to hospital treatment, IGP said.

Sources said that among the injured the condition of five persons is stated to be serious.

They said that soon after the blast a large contingent of government forces reached to the spot and launched a hunt to nab the attackers. (GNS)
