Sub Inspector among 7 paramilitary men injured as CRPF bullet-proof vehicle turns turtle

Srinagar, March 9: Seven paramilitary personnel including an officer were injured after a Bullet-Proof Vehicle of CRPF met with an accident in Parimpora area of Srinagar district late Friday night.

Reports reaching news agency said the Bullet Proof bunker of CRPF 53 bn (G Coy) bearing registration number JK05D-1081 over turned at Parimpora.

In the mishap, seven CRPF men including an officer of Sub Inspector rank suffered injuries and were taken to nearby Noora hospital HMT where from they were referred to SMHS for advanced treatment.

A police officer while confirming it said that the condition of two among the injured namely Sub Inspector GD Paswan and Head Constable Gulzar Ahmad are said to be critical.

Three among the five injured have been identified as Head Constable Sanjeev Kumar, Constable Chandra Prakash and Constable Damroo Googoi.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations taken up,” the officer said. (GNS)
