Four days Health Check-up Camp facilitated by Kargil Police concludes

Kargil , Mar 18   : A Four days Health Check-up Camp facilitated by Kargil Police concluded today. The aim of this camp was to create medical profile of all police officials, early detection of any disease and prompt treatment of the same.

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

The health check-up for police personnel was done by Medical team led by Dr. Nida Fatima and Dr. Sheikh Muntazir including paramedical staff from District Hospital Kargil and Grasul Clinical Laboratory. The medical team along with staff of DPL Kargil worked tirelessly for four days to make it a success.

During the camp, the medical team conducted various tests free of cost viz a viz hypertension, blood sugar, Lipid profile test, Kidney function test, Hepatitis B and Complete Blood Count of about 363 officials who attended the camp.

While speaking on the valedictory ceremony which was held at Conference Hall of DPL, SP Kargil Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS said as a socially cognizant organization, District Police Kargil undertook this initiative in order to raise awareness about health and importance of regular health check-ups among its officials who perform their duties in difficult circumstances.

Dr. Vinod Kumar added that the remarks regarding the general body health of all the officials along with medical advice were recorded in their profile and necessary follow up shall be taken wherever necessary.

At the end, SP Kargil thanked District Commissioner Kargil Shri Baseer-ul-Haq-IAS and CMO Kargil Dr. Ibrahim for providing efficient medical team for conducting this camp.
