Dr. Farooq with his national standing will ensure voice of Kashmir is heard in Parliament: Sagar

Srinagar, Mar 24 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar on Sunday asserted that the people of Kashmir need a louder, credible voice to represent them in Parliament saying that Dr. Farooq Abdullah with his national standing will ensure that the voice of the state is heard in Lok Sabha.

Sagar while addressing party functionaries, workers at Koolipura locality of Khanyar constituency said that Dr Farooq Abdullah is not novice to the politics of Kashmir and that there is no one else who can reprent the aspirations of Jammu & Kashmir more effectively than him. “People of the state want a credible voice to represent their aspirations in the top most house of the country. Our party is the only credible voice of all the regions of J&K. It is the National Conference that is credited with establishing a welfare state in the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” adding, “The people of Kashmir remember PDP for unleashing countless miseries on the state. People still recount the numerous blunders PDP and its leadership committed from time to time.”

While exuding confidence into the party functionaries and workers, Sagar said, “Forces as inimical to the special constitutional status of our state will try their level best to go to any extent to weaken the voice of Kashmiri. The forthcoming election is of great importance to us, it provides us with an opportunity to show how passionately we care for our identity and unique status.”

Addressing the workers, YNC provincial president Kashmir Salman Ali Sagar said, “The ensuing elections provide us with an opportunity to show our resolve for the protection of Art 35A and Art 370. This time elections are for protection of our identity, special status. We have to utilize this opportunity and give befitting reply to those forces as are contriving to destroy our identity. We should also remain vigilant of the cronies of RSS-BJP and show them their right place in the forthcoming LS elections,” adding, “Every vote matters and every vote should be polled in favor of NC, for ours is the only party that has never compromised on the special constitutional position of our state.”
