Closure of Kashmir highway a diktat of Martial Law: Mehbooba

Srinagar: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti termed the government order to ban civilian movement on Kashmir highway ‘a diktat of Martial law’

The PDP president while taking to her Twitter handle took a jibe at the order saying the administration was adamant on ensuring collective punishment for Kashmiris,  “Last I checked, we were a democracy. But this sounds like a diktat of Martial Law.After bringing Kashmir to the brink, the administration is adamant on ensuring collective punishment for Kashmiris.” She wrote.

On Wednesday the state government  notified specified days in a week for the movement of government forces from Srinagar to Jammu. During these days, no civilian traffic would be allowed on National Highway.
