Chief Justice J&K HC takes suo moto cognisance of case, directs IGP to submit status report

Srinagar  : Taking suo moto cognisance of the alleged rape case of a minor girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora, Chief Justice High court J&K Justice Gitta Mittal has directed IGP Kashmir to submit a status report on Friday.

A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on May 08.

The accused has been arrested by the police.

The incident has sparked outrage in Kashmir with people demanding speedy probe into the case.
