Sopore, Jun 12 : Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler at Ladoora area of Rafiabad in Sopore police district.
According to police sources on credible information a Police Party from Police Post Watergam Sopore SDPO Rafiabad under the supervision of SSP Sopore apprehended one namely Gulam MohiUdin Dar 52 years of age son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of Ladoora and recovered Brown Sugar, and cash amount Rs 8250 from his possession, accused was arrested & the contraband seized.
The said accused person was indulging in selling this contraband among the youth of Rafiabad area.
In this connection Case FIR No. 100/2019 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha & investigation taken up .
People of the area have hailed the Sopore Police’s action.
People are requested to co-operate with the Sopore Police so that the menace will b eradicated from the society police sources further added.
