DDC Kishtwar holds outreach cum public grievance redressal camp at Sarthal

KISHTWAR, JULY 14 : With an aim to take stock of ground situation of far-off areas and to redress the grievances of people at their door step, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana hold a public grievance redressal camp at Sarthal in District Kishtwar.

He was accompanied by Assistant Commisioner Revenue (ACR) Kishtwar, Dr. Amir Hussain, PM, IWMP Kishtwar, Kishore Singh, Functional Manager DIC Dr Mohsin Ahnager, ALC Kishtwar Anoop Kumar XEN PWD, XEN PHE, XEN PDD, CAHO Kishtwar, Dy. SP Hq, Tehsildar Kishtwar, Dy. CEO Kishtwar, BDO Trigam, Drabshalla, besides concerned officers remained present.

During the camp, Sarpanches, Panches, senior citizens and scores of people, including women at large from Trigam and Drabshalla Blocks participated in the Public Redressal Grievance Camp.

The public of the area apprised DDC about several grievances/ problems faced by them and urged immediate redressal of the pending grievances and their demands including repair and renovation of gravity line in Ghan area, gearing up the pace in blacktopping of Sarthal Devi Ji Road, SRTC Bus Service from Sarthal to Jammu via Kishtwar , demanded suffice number of teaching staff/PETs in HSS Sarthal, providing of technical know how of horticulture, agriculture to the farmers and fruit growers through skill development programs, clearing of pending MGNREGA payments of 2016-17 2017-18, development of Saffron, apiculture sector in area, shifting of BDO office Hasti to any central located place, sewage treatment plant at Sarthal, provision of ambulance at PHC Agral Sarthal.

DDC gave a patient hearing with regard to genuine demands of the public wherein on spot directions was passed to concerned officers for early redressal of the public issues.

DDC directed XEN PHE to ensure repair and renovation of pipes, main gravity line and restore water supply in the Sarthal area on priority.

Serious charges were levelled by the locals that damages have been made to public/private properties while execution of different work by departments, DDC asked the public to submit a written complaint in nearby Police Post wherein Police Department was directed to lodge an FIR against the erring department responsible for causing damages to property.

CHO Kishtwar was directed to conduct awareness camp on 25th of July at Higher Secondary School Sarthal wherein students, farmers and fruit growers shall be imparted important know how to make them well acquaint about grafting, mushroom culture and other related issues pertaining to the sector.

Directions were passed to concerned BDO and revenue officers to identify state land in Sarthal area so that Sewage Treatment Plant shall be established for proper disposal of faecal waste besides he informed the general public that action shall be initiated against the person who shall throw flith and contaminate the water bodies.

DDC directed to complete the work of girl hostel so that inaguration shall be held on 1st of August 2019.

CEO KDA was directed to explore the possibilities of parking place in Agral and Sarthal Devi Ji Shrine.

He asked the Sarpanches to check the attendance and functioning of govt offices besides warned all the officers/officials to remain punctual in their respective place of posting and mitigate the sufferings of poor and rural masses any laxity in this part shall be dealt strictly.
DDC stated that this area has a great potential of tourism and asked CEO KDA to explore the possibilities of tourism sector in this area.

He further called upon the general public especially youth to come forward and adopt scientific methods in cattle rearing, agriculture, horticulture, dairy farming, apiculture sector , poultry to uplift socio-econmic conditions of the rural poor. He further urged upon them to cooperate district administration in development works /activities with participatory and pro active approachapproach
