16 year old girl drowns in Jehlum in Uri

Uri, July 23 : A 16-year old girl drowned in river Jhelum in Uri Sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Reports reaching said the girl identified as Rubeena Bano (16) daughter of Anwar Shah resident of Dachi Uri drowned in river Jhelum this evening.

The incident occurred while she was grazing the cattle.

Meanwhile, a police officer confirmed the incident and said a team has been deputed there to rescue the girl.(GNS)
