Nocturnal gunfight rages in Shopian village

Srinagar, August 02: A nocturnal gunfight broke out between militants and government in Pandushan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

Reports reaching said that a joint team Army’s 34RR , SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Pandushan area.

A senior Police officer told that contact has been established with hiding militants after forces on an credible inputs zeroed towards suspected spot.

As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
