Srinagar, August 03: A militant has been killed and a army solidier injured in a fierce gunfight which broke out between militants and government forces in Malmapanpora area of Warpora of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Saturday.
A senior Police officer told that after a brief pause in firing, contact was again established with militants. During course of firing one militant has been killed and also one army solidier received bullet wound and has been shifted to hospital.
The officer further said that the operation is underway in the area.
Earlier Reports reaching said that a joint team of Army’s 22RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in Malmaponpora.(GNS)
