IGP Kashmir visits North Kashmir’s Sopore

September 09:Inspector General of Police Shri Swayam Prakash Pani (IPS) today visited North Kashmir’s Sopore where he held security review meeting with the police and CAPF officers.

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

DIG NKR Shri Atul Goel and SP Sopore Shri Javed Iqbal were accompanying IGP Kashmir. CO 179 CRPF BN, SDPO Sopore, DySP Ops Sopore were also present in the meeting.

IGP Kashmir complimented the officials for maintaining peace in the area and urged on the officials to remain committed to their professionalism while discharging duties. He directed officials to provide assistance to the general public so as to espouse confidence among the citizens.

IGP Kashmir while interacting with the officers from Police & CRPF, discussed different security measures taken for maintenance of law and order in Sopore.He stressed for enhanced coordination between different security agencies deployed on ground.

Later on IGP Kashmir visited Fruit Mandi Sopore and Main Town Sopore to reassure the citizens about various security measures taken by police in the area.

On his visit to Sopore, the IGP was briefed by the SSP Sopore about the current situation of the area.
