Govt allows NC delegation to meet Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah on Oct 6

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Government has allowed a delegation of National Conference from the Jammu Province to meet party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah, who are currently under detention.

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

“The delegation led by Provincial President Devender Singh Rana and comprising former party legislators will leave by Indigo flight from Jammu tomorrow, the 6th October 2019 in the morning”, National Conference spokesperson said here this afternoon.

The spokesperson Madan Mantoo said that the government conveyed permission to the request made by the Provincial President Rana to Governor Satya Pal Malik on Thursday last evening.

He said the decision to meet Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah had been taken at an emergent meeting of the senior functionaries and district presidents of the Jammu Province two days ago, soon after restrictions on the movement of Jammu based National Conference leaders had been lifted.

Dr Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and scores of National Conference leaders in the Kashmir Valley had been detained on August 4, 2019 while restrictions were imposed on the movement of prominent party leaders in the Jammu province.

However, the restrictions on the Jammu based leaders were lifted on the evening of Wednesday.
