J&K to receive moderate rain during next 24 hours

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

The MeT department has predicted widespread rain activity in the state of Jammu and Kashmir as western disturbances have affected the region.

According to the Sky Met Weather, the activities were mainly seen over Jammu and Kashmir.

Like in the past 24 hours, Srinagar, Banihal, Qazigund, and Jammu recorded 13 mm, 17 mm, 15 mm and 19 mm of rain respectively.

By tomorrow, the rains will start easing out and will be confined to the hills only and on October 20 most probably it will vacate from the hills as well.

These rains will not impact the meteorological parameters in terms of humidity and temperature. However, these rains will restrict the rising temperature. With this, the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh may even see snowfall activities.
