LoC on Fire: Civilian, two army men killed in fresh skirmishes in Kupwara

Srinagar : Two Army men, civilian were killed on Sunday as Pakistan violated ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling and small arms firing on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

Reports said that Pakistan army targeted forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara on early Sunday by resorting to heavy-arms firing and mortar shelling.
The exchange of fire between the two sides was on when the last reports were received, he said, adding that a civilian , two army soldier’s were killed in the pak firing.

Three civilians were also injured in the firing by Pakistani troops, they said.

Pertainally, LoC has been witnessing tensions since abrogation of Article 370 on August 5. Earlier two army porter’s were killed in Uri sector while as dozens of residential houses were damaged.
