IGP Kashmir visits Handwara, directs officers to assist community members & ensure peace in the area.

December 08: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Shri S.P Pani-IPS visited Police District Handwara and held interaction with the officials and Jawans at DPL Handwara. DIG NKR Shri Mohd Suleman Choudhary-IPS, Commander 7 Sector RR Shri M.S. Rathore, SP Handwara Shri Ashish Mishra-IPS besides other officers of the district were accompanying IGP Kashmir.

At DPL Handwara, IGP Kashmir complimented the officers for their dedication and commitment and urged upon them to continue their duties with same passion besides emphasized on the officials to adopt people-friendly practices while discharging their duties.

While interacting with the officials of CAPF and Police, IGP Kashmir appreciated the role of CAPF and Police and further said that it was only due to the joint efforts of forces and Police that peaceful situation was maintained in Handwara. He stressed on the officials to maintain a close liaison with the forces on the ground so as to thwart any attempts made at disturbing peace in the area. He directed the officers to keep the inimical elements under check so that the normal lives of community members are not disrupted.

Further he directed the officials to assist the community members in view of the difficulties arising due to the change in weather. IGP stressed on strengthening the bonds with the public and facilitating police public meets so that officers are quickly able to redress the problems faced by people on ground.

Later IGP Kashmir also chaired a security review meeting with the officers of the district in which the security considerations of the area were discussed.
