Class work to remain suspended on Tue for elementary classes in Kashmir

Admin asks teachers to report schools

Srinagar, Dec 09 : In view of the harsh weather conditions, the authorities in the Valley here have decided to suspend the class work on Tuesday for elementary classes in Kashmir.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan talking to the wire service—said that it has been decided to suspend the class work upto class 8th for a day on Tuesday. However, he said that teachers will have to report to the schools.

The decision has been taken in view of prevalent weather conditions. A dense canopy of fog that engulfed Kashmir from last couple of days continued amid the cold wave conditions. The smoggy weather conditions also led to the cancellation of air traffic for the fourth straight day on Monday. (KNO)
