Don’t know what has been added, subtracted in the proposal: Masoodi

Prepare for the greatest experience after eating a nutritious breakfast. You will travel over some of the highest passes in the world on your adventure, and you will be greeted by ever-changing vistas of the desolate landscape. Stop at the café on Khardung-La Pass, the highest all-season motorable road in the world, and take in the scenery; you'll feel as though you're on top of the world. Upon leaving Khardung-la, the terrain changes to a white sand desert as you approach the Nubra Valley, which is home to the Nubra Sand Dunes. Visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and biggest monastery in Ladakh, which also contains a sizable Buddha statue, if time permits.

Srinagar Dec 13:National Conference on Friday said that the comment over the Article 371, which according to media reports has been sent to Law Department by Union Home Ministry for feedback, would be premature.

Talking to news agency, senior leader of NC and sitting parliamentarian from South Kashmir Justice (retd) Hasnain Masoodi said we don’t know what has been sent to Law Department. “We have nothing credible inputs about sending of any file related to Article 371 to Law Department of Jammu and Kashmir”.

He said, “Until and unless we know the contents of the proposal, NC will remain away from commenting over the issue”.

“We don’t know what has been added or subtracted in the proposal, we don’t want to comment in haste”, NC leader told news agency.

Masoodi further said, “Be it 370, 371 or else, these relates to the special status of Jammu and Kashmir”.

He also said Government of India should have taken lesson from the ongoing situation that is prevalent since August 5. “People of Jammu and Kashmir have unanimously disapproved the decisions taken on August 5 by New Delhi that scrapped special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370”, Masoodi added.

Pertinently the Union Home Ministry has sent a proposal to Law Department of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for a feedback on granting Article 371 as a compensation for the revocation of Article 370. (JKNS)
