Dir Information advises students to work hard for achieving their goals

JAMMU, JANUARY 28: Director, Information and Public Relation, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today advised the students to work hard to achieve their desired goals.

“Work with full zeal and zest for achieving your desired goals and dreams. There is no alternate to hard work, when it comes to achieving your cherished dreams,” she motivated the students here at 54th annual day function of the Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar.

Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar was the chief guest at the function. She also highlighted the role of teacher in a child’s life adding that only a good teacher can make the future of a student.

“A teacher needs to give full attention on the education of the students only than he or she can enlighten the society,” she added. Director Information called upon the teaching fraternity to put more focus on the education of girls, as it is a key in evolving an enlightened society.

The event was held here at Teachers’ Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar and it also witnessed a Prize Distribution function.

The students of the school presented a scintillating cultural programme featuring dance, music and skits.

President Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, Gulchain Singh Charak presided over the function.

Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan; Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Art and Culture Languages (JKAACL), Arvinder Singh Aman; President Dogra Academy Society Surekha Charak; Deputy Divisional Warden Civil Defence Jammu, R Vijay Mangotra; President JKPSCC, Rameshwar Singh were the guests of honour.
