Handwara, 21 Feb: Handwara police on Friday claimed to have arrested a rumour monger for spreading rumours on social media.
A police spokesman in a Statement said “Police Station Handwara received information that some youth are circulating fake news and spreading rumours, hatred through Social Media platforms.”
In this regard police have registered an FIR 25/20 U/s 153-153A/505 IPC at Police Station Handwara.
Police have identified the man as Waseem Majeed Dar of Waskura , Handwara.
