Pakistan responsible for Drug Influx in J&K: DGP

Srinagar: Director-General of Police Dilbagh Singh on Saturday said with the coordinated efforts of J&K Police and other security forces the militant activities have come down however claimed that Pakistan is responsible for the influx of drugs in Jammu and Kashmir.

DGP, J&K Dilbag Singh, speaking in a function at Jammu said as there is a sharp decline in violence-related incidents and the number of militants active in the Kashmir valley Pakistan now used another weapon for playing with the innocent lives of people in Jammu and Kashmir by sending drugs.

“DGP while giving the example of Punjab said when militancy declined there then drugs were sent for spoiling the lives of innocent people and today everyone is well aware of Punjab and now with the same way drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir had increased by the same tactics of Pakistan.”

DGP said drug users are increasing every passing day and we have to block the supply chain to check this activity, saying that successful investigation and prosecution of these cases will help to achieve desired results.
