‘Focus on Skill development programmes to generate employment’, MRD to JK youth

Srinagar, Mar 15 (KINS): Ministry of Rural Development Government of India has impressed upon the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and take advantage of short duration skill development programmes.

In a statement to Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), the Ministry of Rural Development has organized the valedictory function of Trainees of women tailoring and Trainees of various trades here in the rural self-employment Institute in Kulgam.

“On the occasion, Ashok Kumar Razdan, state Director, UT J&K and Ladhak, impressed upon the unemployed youth to come forward and take the advantage of short duration skill development programmes,’ the statement reads.

They said that the programme was also attended by MA Wancho, zonal head Jammu and Kashmir Bank and large numbers of Candidates from Various categories of Skill development programmes.

“Razdan in his address to the trainees deliberates upon various skill development programmes and credit linkages facilitated by various REETI’s operating in the UT’s of J&K and Ladhak” it reads.

The officials said that the Director Ashok Kumar Razdan also met the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam and discussed various flagship skilling programme of the central government.(KINS)
