COVID-19 Div Com conducts review present status of preparedness

SRINAGAR, MARCH 18: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K. Pole Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the present status of Coronavirus preparedness in Kashmir Valley.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding quarantine & isolation facilities centres, staff position, availability of masks, PPT kits and other equipments across Kashmir Division.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed the concerned to adopt inter-departmental coordination on mission mode to ward of the threat posed by COVID-19.
Besides, he asked for sharing real time data to the higher authorities for further course of action.
He directed concerned to project the demand for anticipatory requirements and other facilities for all valley hospitals.
Pole stressed to maintain high level of vigil and alertness and strengthen core capacities for disease preparedness and robust response.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Additional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director Health Services Dr Sameer Mattoo, Principal GMC, Dr Saima Rashid, Director SKIMS, Dr A G Ahangar, Assistant Commissioner (central) Aziz Ahmad Rather and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
