Coronavirus: Govt declares holiday on March 24

Srinagar, March 22 : Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday declared March 24 as a holiday for government offices in view of the ongoing efforts to control the Coronavirus pandemic.

“In view of the ongoing efforts to control the Coronavirus pandemic, the government of J&K has declared Tuesday, 24 March,as a holiday for government offices.  23& 25 March are holidays already,” Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam told.

Chief Secretary, however, said that the essential services will continue to function including medical, security, electricity and water supply services. (GNS)
