Lt Governor greets people on Navratras and Navreh

Srinagar, March 24 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has conveyed his greetings to people of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.

In his message, the Lt Governor expressed hope and prayed that the festival would become the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity, peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.

He also extended warm greetings to the people belonging to the Kashmiri Pandit community who celebrate this auspicious day as Navreh, which coincides with the first day of the Chaitra Navratras, the beginning of the Hindu New Year.

The Lt Governor appealed to the people, including the devotees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji, to stay indoors and pray at home during these Navratras.(KINS)
