JK HC, subordinate court judges, staff to donate victims of Covid-19

Srinagar, Mar, 26 (KINS): The Jammu and Kashmir high court has decided to raise funds to be utilized for victims of the Corona virus infection.

Top sources in the high court told Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) that keeping in view the projections on account of Corona Virus (Coved-19) Infection, the prohibitions and Impact thereof, the decision in this regard was taken in a full court meeting held under the chairpersonship of Chief Justice Gita Mittal.

“Full Court In its deliberations held on 23’0 March, 2020, while considering the matter regarding the collection of funds to be utilized for relief to the victims of the Corona virus (Could-19) infection, has resolved to effect the collection of amount to be utilized for the welfare of the victims.,” sources maintained.

The copy of a decision in possession of KINS reads that the Chief Justice and all Judges of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir may make a contribution of Rs. 25,000/-each.

“All the District Judges may contribute Rs. 15,000/- each. 3. All Sub-Judges /Civil Judges (Senior Division) may contribute Rs. 10,000/- each.”

The court has further said that all Munsiffs/Civil Judges (Junior Division) may contribute Rs. 7500/ each.  “All the Gazetted officers of the High Court Staff (including 16K, State Judicial Academy) and Gazetted Staff of the Subordinate Courts may contribute Fts.5000/- each. All Non-gazetted staff of the High Court and Subordinate Courts may contribute one day’s salary,”

The court in its deliberations has further said that Registrars (Judicial) of both the Wings of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir at Jammu and Srinagar, after collecting the amount of contribution so made at their respective Wings, shall credit the same in the Bank Account No. 0406010100000038- INK Bank Branch, High Court Complex Jammu, opened for the purpose under intimation to the Registrar General.

“ All the Principal District and Sessions Judges of the Districts of the State of 1611, after collecting the amount of contribution relating to their respective Districts, shall also credit the same in the Bank Account in the Bank Account No. 0406010100000038- ISK Bank Branch, High Court Complex Jammu, opened for the purpose, under intimation to the Registrar General.
