One more child tests positive in Uri

Uri April 5: One more child has been tested positive from Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Earlier in the day three children were among four persons who were been tested positive for COVID-19 at Uri in Baramulla.

Officials said the girl is 13-year-old who is the family member of the previous infected persons.

“She has been sent to quarantine facility,” they said.

They said five persons have been tested positive including four children on Sunday so far.

Official sources told KINS that they are the family members of two previous infected persons.

“The infected persons include four children of age 11, 12, 13, 14 and 38 year old woman,” they said.

Two persons, one from Amlok Colony and another from Sultandaki areas of Uri had tested positive on Friday who were affiliated with Tablegi Jamat.

After which authorities took samples of 28 people who had come in contact with duo including their family members.

On Sunday, among these, five persons reports turned positive while reports of 23 are awaited.
Amlok Colony and Sultankadi of Uri have been declared red zones.
