SMC celebrates Frontline Workers Day to boost morale of ground level workers

Srinagar, Apr 24 (KINS): In a bid to boost the morale of frontline workers, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) celebrated Frontline Workers Day, here today.

The day was celebrated by felicitating the Safai Karamcharis with garlands and by distributing sweets among them. The felicitation ceremonies were held in all wards of SMC.

Appreciating the efforts of frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Commissioner SMC, Gazanfar Ali called the frontline workers unsung heroes and said their work needs appreciation and respect.

He said that the Frontline Workers Day will be a regular feature from now on, and will be celebrated every year.(KINS)
