Use of masks mandatory in Kupwara: DC

KUPWARA, MAY 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg has made use of masks mandatory for the residents of the district from tomorrow. In this regard an order was issued today making use of masks mandatory for the people moving out of their homes for any official or private purposes with valid permits from May 16.

‘The concerned Tehsildars shall ensure compliance of these directions through deployment of field staff at all the prominent public places within their respective jurisdictions and furnish daily report to Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR)’, reads the order.

The Executive Officers of Municipal Committees have been directed to conduct inspection within their respective jurisdictions and book defaulters and furnish daily report to Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara (ADC).

 Besides, all Block Development Officers (BDO) have been directed to ensure usage of masks during the all works being undertaken by Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and furnish daily report to the office of Deputy Commissioner through Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kupwara.

The violators shall be charged penalty of Rs.100 for the first offence and Rs.500 for repeat offence by the concerned official deployed for the duty and the same shall be credited to the District Red Cross Society under proper receipt. The proceeds so collected shall be dedicated for the management and upkeep of Quarantine and COVID Care Centre set up across the district.

The concerned ADCs and SDMs have been directed to personally monitor the entire exercise through field inspections on a routine basis and uploading photographs on the official Whatsapp group of Dstrict Administration, the order reads.
