Army distributes essential items to migrant labourers, villagers in Kmr

Srinagar, May 16 (KINS): 106 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) PARA under the aegis of 31 Sub Area (Chinar Corps), organized distribution of essential items for the villagers of Balhama, Khunmoh and migrant labourers from Orissa working in local factories around the area.


According to Army statement issued to news agency KINS, Basic essential household rations were also a part of the package.

“BDO Khunmoh Assabah Khan along with Sarpanches and Police representative were present for the distribution. The efforts for these relief initiatives during the difficult times of COVID-19 and the pious month of Ramzan was appreciated by all.

All precautions of social distancing, sanitization and wearing of gloves/mask was ensured” it reads.


“The resolve of the local Army Camp has always been to bring succour to those in need and today’s efforts were a cohesive step with the joint efforts of all stakeholders towards this aim”.(KINS)
