“Houses Damaged in Srinagar Gunfight”: SMC Mayor appeals for compensation

Srinagar, May 19(KINS): Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu on late Tuesday evening said that the administration should announce immediate compensation and should extend all possible assistance to the affected families whose houses were damaged during gunfight at Nawakadal area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar District.


Taking to his Twitter handle SMC Mayor Junaid Mattoo said , “deeply saddened to see the specter of devastation at the site of today’s encounter in Nawakadal Srinagar. Almost a dozen families have been left homeless and devastated”, he wrote.


Pertinently, An MBA pass out student turned militant Junaid Ashraf Sehrai, was killed along with his associate Tariq Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Pulwama in a gunfight at Nawakadal locality of Srinagar on Tuesday.
