DDC Ganderbal reviews functioning of RDD Sector

GANDERBAL, MAY 30: District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting with officers of Rural Development Department and BDC chairpersons of district Ganderbal to review the progress made under the flagship programmes including MGNREGA, 14th FC etc.

Among others the meeting was attended by all BDC Chairpersons, CPO Ganderbal, ACD Ganderbal, DPO Ganderbal, BDO’s and other concerned officers/officials.

The DDC reviewed Block and Panchayat-wise performance made under various schemes and set the timelines for completion of all pending works, while directions were passed to expedite the pace of developmental works.

During the meeting DDC listened to the issues and grievances of the BDC Chairpersons which emerged due to lockdown, and passed on spot directions to the concerned officers for their redressal and impressed upon them to extend full support and cooperation by every means so that percentage of progress of work is improved.

DDC also directed the BDO’s to accelerate the pace of Aadhar seeding and complete the process within 2-days positively.

DDC said a lot of time has been wasted due to lockdown and hence works need to be expedited to compensate the loss. He also directed them to keep in consideration the related health advisories especially maintaining social distancing and using safety gears while working on the projects.

The DDC also took stock of physical and financial achievements made under MGNREGA and 14th FC. The DDC stressed on improving performance and adhering to the timeline for completing the target of achieving 50% expenditure under the key schemes.
