Stray dogs strike in Bandipora, 20 persons injured

Bandipora,June 10 (KINS) : Atleast twenty persons were attacked and injured by stray dogs in north Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Wednesday.

Reports reaching news agency KINS said that a pack of stray dogs appeared in Check Mantrigam, Tangath areas of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday morning and attacked scores of people.

Talking to news agency KINS residents of Check Mantrigam, Tangath, Pethkoot and Badibeth areas said that the stray dogs are on prowl in their areas and have attacked and injured at least 20 persons so far who were shifted to District hospital Bandipora for treatment and 04 of them reffered to Bone & Joint hospital srinagar for specialized treatment.
The persons were bitten during the wee hours of this morning the residents added.

Meanwhile confiirming the incident to news agency KINS a health official at District Hospital Bandipora said that free anti-rabies injection were given to the 20 injured persons initially.(KINS)
