Elderly Man hangs self to death in North Kashmir

Srinagar, June 21(KINS) : An elderly man from North Kashmir’s Handwara on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his home.

Reports reaching news agency KINS said a 74 year old man from Malikpura area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday ended his life by hanging himself at his home.

Reports said the family members of the man immediately rushed him to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

A police officer also confirmed this incident to KINS said a case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up. The officer identified deceased as Mohammad Jamal Lone (74) of Malokpora Tarathpora.(KINS)
