Kulgam Encounter: JCO among three army soldiers injured, Operation continues

Srinagar, July 04: Junior Commsioned officer among three soldiers were injured in an ongoing encounter in Arrah area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Official sources told that in an ongoing firefight three soldiers including JCO recieved minor injuries, who have been evacuated to 92 Base hospital for treatment.

One militant was also killed in initial exchange of firing, the official added.

Pertinently, 120 militants have been killed so far this year in the Valley.

Earlier According to the reports reaching , a joint team of Police, Army’s 34RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Arrah.

As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
