Domestic Violence: Sopore man arrested for beating wife

Srinagar, July 05(KINS): A man was arrested on charges of domestic violence for mercilessly beating of his wife in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Sunday.

A police officer told news agency that a family of Bemina Srinagar lodged a complaint with the police against a Sopore resident for beating their daughter ruthlessly for years.

Taking note of the incident, police registered a case an FIR under number 173 /2020 under section 498A, 506, and 323 IPC and arrested the accused from his house in Muslimpeer Sopore. The officer said further investigation into this case has been initiated.(KINS)
