250 to 300 militants waiting at launch pads across LoC to infiltrate into Kashmir: GOC 19 DIV

Srinagar July 11(KINS): A top Army officer Saturday said that 250-300 militants are waiting at launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) to infiltrate into Kashmir.


As per KINS Correspondent addressing a press conference at Baramulla GOC Maj Gen Virendra Vats, GOC 19 division said “Militants are trying hard to infiltrate into Kashmir from across the LoC. There are 250-300 militants waiting at launch pads. They are trying hard as they have four months left to infiltrate before the winter begins. But our Army is ready to tackle them,”.


He said Pakistan was resorting to ceasefire violations to divert the attention of the Indian army posted at LoC. “This won’t affect us,” he added.


Pertinently, In early hours of Saturday morning, the army claimed to have killed two militants in Naugam Sector of north Kashmir who were trying to infiltrate into this side.(KINS)
