LG Murmu visits Anantnag, reviews development, security arrangements

Srinagar, July 23 (KINS): Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu on Thursday visited south Kashmir district of Anantnag to review the overall security and development situation.

An official told News Agency Kashmir In-depth News Service (KINS) that LG reviewed the security situation and development projects in South Kashmir.

Senior officers of the district gave a detailed brief to Murmu about the overall situation, particularly with regard to COVID- 19 and the measures taken to meet the challenges.

Sources said he was informed about the stocking of essentials, including rice, atta and gas cylinders at different places in the district ahead of the Eid Al Adha.

Sources said the Lt Governor directed officers to make sure that people don’t face any difficulty ahead of Eid Al Adha.Murmu directed officials to speed up the work and complete the developmental projects as per schedule.

Murmu stressed the need to maintain sustained coordination between security forces and civil administration to meet the security challenges in the district, besides ensuing security of vital installations and protected persons.(KINS)
