Police official returned lost cash to the owner

Srinagar, Oct 31(KINS): The police Saturday said that during the night of 26-10-2020 HC Imtiyaz Ahmad posted in SMHS hospital found a wallet with cash and some valuables in the premises of SMHS hospital. He went to PS Karanagar and handed over the same to SHO concerned.

Accordingly, PS Karanagar identified the owner of the wallet as Gowhar Ahmad Thokar of Reshi Nager Shopian and subsequently today, he was called to the Police Station and wallet along with cash was handed over to him after proper verification.

It is pertinent to mention that, on 26.10.20 Gowhar Ahmad had come to SMHS, along with his mother for her treatment during which he lost his Wallet, along with cash of Rs. 29,060/ in hospital premises.

Locals hail the honesty of the Police Official and appreciated the efforts of Police to identify the real owner of the lost cash.(KINS)
